Welcome to the homepage for the Washington
University Green Bicycle Project. In an
attempt to increase bicycle usage on campus and environmental awareness among
the student body, we have created a system where students can gain access to
bicycles for free. If you see a green
bike that says WashU Green Bicycle on it, just hop on and ride it anywhere you want to go.
All that we ask from you is that you take care of the
bicycles and return them to any bike rack on campus. Make sure that you lock the bike correctly
wherever you leave it, and please do not use a personal lock on it so that
others may use it whenever.
Please fill out the following form and you will be sent
a combination to the bike locks. We ask that you keep this code to yourself
and not share it with others as we would like to have everyone using the bikes
register first.
It is Washington University policy that when not in use all bikes must be locked to a univeristy bike rack.
Please DO NOT LOCK the bikes to anything other than a bike rack. This includes trees, lamp posts, trash cans, ect.
NOTE: These bikes are equipped with a locator device. If the bikes leave campus for
an extended period of time they will be tracked and the persons who took them will be liable for the bikes.
Please do not try to steal the bikes.
If you have questions, comments, or concerns, you can
